Promotion terms
These terms apply when an advertiser buys an optional single-ad boost from Configurix Limited. They supplement our Terms of Use.

1. What a listing boost provides
A Spotlight, Featured or Featured Plus boost gives an eligible published ad the paid presentation shown at checkout. Paid placements are clearly labelled and kept separate from organic results. A boost does not change organic search position, guarantee views, enquiries or a sale, or imply endorsement by localads.ie.
2. Products, prices and duration
The checkout page shows the selected single-ad package, euro price, tax treatment where applicable and duration before payment. Packages are optional one-off purchases. The price recorded in an accepted order remains fixed for that order even if future prices change.
3. Payment and activation
Stripe processes card payments. SEPA bank transfers are paid directly to Local Ads against an invoice we issue to the advertiser. Direct-transfer orders remain pending until an authorised administrator verifies cleared funds. A checkout success page, invoice request, invoice issue or payment instruction alone does not activate placement.
4. Start time, queues and expiry
The duration starts when cleared payment activates the promotion. If the same ad already has an active promotion, a later paid promotion is queued to begin when the active period ends. Placement ends automatically at the recorded expiry time.
5. Ad eligibility and moderation
The ad must remain published, lawful and compliant with our Terms of Use and category rules. Payment does not limit moderation. We may remove or restrict an ad for safety, legal or policy reasons. Refund eligibility in those circumstances is governed by the Refund Policy and mandatory consumer law.
6. Payment errors and duplicate events
Orders with an incorrect amount, currency, customer, invoice or ad reference are not activated and are sent for review. Stripe card events and administrator direct-transfer confirmations are processed idempotently so repeated actions cannot create an extra promotion.
7. Refunds
Approved full refunds stop the related paid boost. Partial and full refunds are recorded against the original order. See the Refund Policy for eligibility, statutory rights and how to contact us.
8. Local test availability
Listing boosts are currently implemented for local testing. Card checkout uses Stripe test mode. Direct invoice requests create no real payment obligation during local testing. Production products remain unavailable until production activation is expressly announced.
